Going Green

Going Green

There's a new neutral in town, and it's not what you expected.  Green is the go-to for the fall/winter season.  It's showing up in every shade you can imagine, from deep, dark forest to pops of bright and vibrant mint.  We love all the variations, but have a soft spot for the rich, deep greens that make an easy alternative (or compliment) to black and charcoal.

From L to R: Grisal cashmere scarf, Serpui shearling bag, Rag & Bone capri suede jeans, RtA Rita silk shirt, Veronica Beard car coat, Jack Gomme tote bag, Rag & Bone Vivienne top, Frame Denim jeans, Veronica Beard military jacket with dickie.

It fun to think outside the box when it comes to neutrals, and you'll be a hit in your LGD (little green dress).

Tailored Trench

Tailored Trench

A piece every woman should own in her closet is a classic trench.  It is the ultimate piece of outerwear that will take you from season to season and every phase of your life.  Think of the women who've made this piece iconic, Catherine Deneuve, Diane Keaton, Brigitte Bardot, Kate Moss and Audrey Hepburn to name a few.  We love the standard khaki, but can't help but get excited about a trench with a twist - whether it's the color, details or fabrication - sometimes a little change can make a piece totally new again.

From L to R: Rag & Bone floppy brim fedora, Frame "Le Stripe" shirt, Vince leather camera bag, Rag & Bone "Siggy" suede skirt, ALC trench coat, Frame "Le Crop Mini Boot" jean, T by Alexander Wang stripe tee, Vince convertible leather backpack.

You really don't have to worry what you pair your trench with (it goes with everything) throw it on over a dress or jeans and a tee, and you'll look sleek, polished and totally chic.

Summer Check List

Summer Check List

Despite the fluctuating weather patterns - from 100 degrees to chilly and rainy all in one week - summer is here. School's out, vacations have been planned, local strawberries are finally in season and we see more sunshine in the forecast.  It's a good time of year to check in on a few key pieces in your summer wardrobe and fill in what's missing.

As we all know in Portland, the days can remain cool until nearly 5 pm, so it's good to think about lightweight layers in cotton, denim and linen.  We also like sticking to a color palette, so you can mix and match easily and the clothes will fit seamlessly into your existing wardrobe.

From L to R: Rag & Bone straw wide brim fedora, Rag & Bone "Devon" scarf, Vince Park Collection convertible bucket bag, Majestic stripe linen tee, Paul Smith cotton skirt, Frame cotton lace tank dress, Current/Elliott "The Snap" denim jacket, Rag & Bone "Drape" tank, Current/Elliott "The Girlfriend" short, Vince lace tee and Frame "Le High Skinny" jean.

A few of our favorite summer essentials include a good sunhat, a striped linen tee, a couple breezy, cotton tops, a versatile sundress, and of course a pair of white jeans.  All pieces that can be mixed and matched and dressed up or down.

Happy Summer!

Summer Stripes

Summer Stripes

Stripes are a pattern that scream summer. From basic tees, to Breton sweaters all the way to breezy linen shirts, tailored skirts and slouchy jackets.  No longer limited to classic blue and white, striped tees and sweaters are coming in all different colors and silhouettes. We love the subtle update of gray or black for a more sophisticated look that still channels your inner Bardot.

From L to R: California Tailor "Tomboy" t-shirt, Rag & Bone "Stark" 10" crop jean, Loren Stewart necklace and bracelets, Shiraleah calf-hair leopard print tote, ATM "Sailor" sweater, Frame "Le Garçon Crop" jean, Samira 13 Tahitian pearl drop earrings, Merci Marie chain trim cross-body

We can't really think of a time or place where the correct stripe wont work.  Keep it casual on the weekend with a tee, distressed denim and patterned tote, and knock him dead on a chilly date night with an oversized sweater, slouchy, white boyfriend jeans and your highest heels.  Obviously a bold, bright lip will accent both looks perfectly.

Pret-a-Party

Pret-a-Party

We dressed up the kids, faced the downpour and the puddles and survived the sugar high.  But now, with Halloween behind us, it's holiday time! Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and things are about to get busy.  We want to give you a head start on your holiday wardrobe and get you party ready.

Thanksgiving tends to be on the casual side here in Portland, it's often jeans with a cute top or cozy sweater and a some statement jewelry.  We've stepped it up a notch, by eliminating the denim, but the styles remain easy to wear, comfortable, and of course, chic.

From L to R: Vince directional rib cashmere dress and stretch leather leggings, Samira 13 tassel pearl lariat, Rene Escobar oxidized silver bracelet, DVF fur cross-body, Frame "Le Crop" cashmere turtleneck, T by Alexander Wang skirt, Rene Escobar oxidized silver necklace, Sara Weinstock half moon pendant with diamonds, Vince "Signature V" cross-body, Vince laser cut sleeveless turtleneck, Rag & Bone "Perry" pant, Sara Weinstock yellow gold and diamond earrings and bangles, DVF leopard print clutch.
