Now/Later

Now/Later

The joy of Fall and Pre-Fall collections arriving in-store now, is that you can wear many of the pieces during midsummer and on through September and October.

Don't limit cashmere and silk to winter, a poncho or oversized cardigan can be a summer staple that you throw over your breeziest sundress or cami. Those pieces will then take you the extra mile when layered over long sleeves in the fall.

We've styled one of our favorite Vincecashmere ponchos for a summer date night and also an easy daytime look for fall.

From L to R: Rag & Bone Moto crossbody, Sara Weinstock 18k gold, oxidized silver and diamond bangles, Shay 18k rose gold and diamond choker, Theory lace trim cami, Derek Lam 10 Crosby crop flare trousers, Vince cashmere cardigan, Rag & Bone lace up jeans, Vince silk water color print popover, Rag & Bone wide brim fedora, Rene Escobar 18k gold and diamond pendant & Vince leather crossbody.

Easy for Easter

Easy for Easter

Similar to wedding season, Easter is a great excuse to buy a new dress (or separates),  especially if you can find a piece or two that will take you through summer and all the events that come with it.

We like to keep our Easter outfits light, bright and floral, with a little lace thrown in - which keeps things festive and fun - and of course, on trend for the season.

Graphic prints, floral or otherwise, are all over dresses right now, making it easy to find an Easter appropriate outfit.  It also wouldn't be a spring 2016 dress if there wasn't a white option, be it crochet, eyelet or linen, you'll find the perfect white dress for you.

From L to R: Red Valentino cotton eyelet lace dress, Paul Smith cotton dress, Derek Lam 10 Crosby cotton top with lace trim, Theory "Raoka" floral print pants, M Missoni dress, L'Agence "T Lee" silk blouse and "Mackenzie" skirt.

Whether you're doing a low key brunch with friends, attending mass, a party at the club or sticking around the house for a drizzly egg hunt with the kids, we've got a look for you.

Dressing for Spring, Now

Dressing for Spring, Now

Although it doesn't feel like spring yet - hello, surprise snow storm - we're getting stocked (and stoked) for warmer weather in the store.  With every shipment comes more flirty dresses, bright colors and floral prints and we couldn't be more ready.

Even if the pieces your purchasing for the upcoming season don't seem practical for the weather outside, it's hard to resist wearing a new item in your closet.  Rather than wait until the temps rise dramatically, it may take months after all, layer your new, spring-y pieces under chunky sweaters and scarves or over textured tights and long sleeve shirts.  You'll get more use out of your new clothes, while staying cozy against the chill.

From L to R: Eileen Fisher sweater, M Missoni skirt, Rag & Bone "Abbot" fedora, Chan Luu necklace, Rag & Bone shearling backpack, T by Alexander Wang rib turtleneck, Theory "Kyon" dress, Hartford cashmere beanie, Rene Escobar bangles and Vince "Signature V" cross body bag.

This is the perfect opportunity to mix colors and textures in unexpected ways, lightweight silks for Spring pair beautifully with a fuzzy sweater.  Go bold with your choices, you won't regret it.

Countdown to Christmas

Countdown to Christmas

It's the final days before Christmas - three sleeps till X-Mas Eve - and whether or not you've completed your shopping or are still scrambling for a few last minute bits and bobs, it's a hectic time for everyone.  We want to ease your stress a bit, so we've broken down the three essential outfits for the main event.

We like to go big for Christmas Eve, with a bold dress and gold accessories and of course don't forget your highest heels and a red lip.

Stay comfy while you watch the kids open presents, snack on breakfast and sip mimosas. We're thinking some super soft sweats, a tissue tee and a soft wool cardigan.

Keep the comfort level high but stay chic for Christmas dinner with your family.  Neutral colors and splashes of fringe will keep things festive.

From L to R: Equipment dress, Rene Escobar bangles, Max Mara purse, Theory shearling jacket, Hartford sweater, James Perse tee, Current/Elliott sweats, Vince silk top and suede leggings, Samira 13 earrings and bangles and Ashlyn'd lucite clutch.

We wish you a fun and festive holiday weekend filled with love, laughter, family and friends.

Shear Genius

Shear Genius

With Christmas just days away, we've got sleigh bells and snow flakes on the brain.  Unfortunately, here in Portland, the reality is more like duck boots and rain drops.  Rather than get too bummed about the drizzle, we've focused our attention on a major trend for winter that our buyers spotted it all over NYC. Shearling.  It's the basically the warmest fabrication out there, and totally timeless; you'll stay cozy and chic winter after winter.

Although rain isn't ideal for fur and shearling, you'll get more wear out of your piece if you treat it like you would any other winter coat. Just don't forget your umbrella.  And don't worry, we've included a vegan option for those of you who don't do fur.

L to R: Vincent Pradier beanie, Rene Escobar necklace, Sara Weinstock bangles, Christiansen fringe leather hobo, Rag & Bone "Callista" crewneck sweater, Current/Elliott plaid shirt, AG "Nikki" jean, Vince shearling jacket with hood and Theory "Visterna" faux shearling vest.

When the temps start to warm a bit with the arrival of spring, don't be afraid to pair your shearling outerwear with a mini dress and a bare leg for a bold, high fashion look.
