Mod for Fall

Mod for Fall

It's so exciting to see how different designers revive and reinterpret trends, especially when things gets a little retro.  The 60's are making a bit of a comeback this season and many of our favorite designers have put their spin on all things Mod.

It's easy to take this trend too far and land it costume territory, so it's important keep your accessories sleek and your silhouettes clean.  Although we all don't have legs for days and the perfect fringe like our dream girl Alexa Chung, she is a good source of inspiration when it comes to keeping the Mod trend modern.

Trend Report - Outerwear for Fall

Trend Report - Outerwear for Fall

Fall is just around the corner (le sigh...) in preparation for the coming change of seasons, we've pulled together a few of our favorite outerwear trends.  All three are classics that have been updated in unexpected yet totally wearable ways.

Don't be fooled, a puffer does not have to be sporty.  It's all in the details with these elegant down jackets, snaps, belts and rose gold zippers along with sophisticated silhouettes elevate the Pacific Northwest staple to another level.

Double-faced wool is one of the ultimate luxury fabric, and there is no shortage this Fall.  The light weight makes these coats perfect for mild, Portland winters as well as easy for travel and layering.

A drapey, open cardigan is the easiest and most versatile piece you can get for Fall.  Wear them over a dress with a belt or throw them on over jeans and a tee, you seriously can't go wrong.

As the temperature rises, leather and may not look to appealing, but don't forget how soft and light leather has gotten. Pair a leather mini skirt with flats and a short sleeved linen tee and throw your leather jacket over jean shorts and a graphic tee.

High waist flares are perfect for Summer.  Pair them with a breezy blouse or a cropped tee and your favorite summer sandals and you're ready to go.
